Top Notch Ingredients

I decided that I would use an artificial sweetner in my cake to cut down on calories.  Not a good idea.  The artificial sweeteners  made my cake taste horrible.  I now know not to ever use artificial sweetners or sugar alcohol in a sous vide recipe.  The same goes for things such as cheeses.  Do not use the stuff that comes in a can.   It will taste like the can and does not want to melt into the dish.
